Dairy Adventures is a unique hands-on farm experience located on our working dairy farm. We offer guided tours where visitors of all ages can learn about dairy farming, meet our animals, and see where milk really comes from!

Q2. Who are the tours suitable for?
Everyone! Our tours are designed to be fun, interactive, and educational for all ages — from toddlers to grandparents. Whether you're a family, school group, or just curious about life on the farm, you’re welcome.

Q3. Where are you located?
We’re based in South Australia on the GD & HJ Simons dairy farm. Full directions and address details are provided upon booking.

Q4. How do I book a tour?
You can book directly via our website or contact us through phone, email, or social media. All visits must be pre-booked — we don’t offer walk-ins.

Q5. What days and times are tours available?
Tour availability can vary with the seasons and farm operations. We offer tours on weekdays and Saturdays but are closed on Sundays. Check our website or socials for the latest schedule.

Q6. Do you offer private or group bookings?
Yes! We cater for private groups, school excursions, playgroups, clubs, and more. Just get in touch and we can tailor something to suit your group size and needs.

🐮 On the Day

Q7. What can I expect on a Dairy Adventure tour?
Depending on your chosen experience, you might:

• Watch a live milking session

• Bottle-feed baby calves

• Meet cows, including our farm favourite, Elvis!

• Enjoy a tractor ride or guided farm walk

• Learn how milk gets from cow to cup
  We aim to create lasting memories and provide an authentic look into farm life.

Q8. What should I wear?
We recommend enclosed shoes (gumboots or runners are perfect), weather-appropriate clothes, and maybe a hat or sunscreen for sunny days. You’ll be on a real working farm, so be ready to get a little mucky!

Q9. Can I take photos during the tour?
Absolutely! We love seeing your happy snaps. Just please don’t enter any restricted areas for safety reasons. If we plan to take and share photos during your visit, we’ll ask for your permission via a talent release form.

Q10. How much does it cost?
Prices vary depending on the type of tour and group size. We’re happy to provide a quote upon inquiry.

Q11. How can I pay?
We accept EFTPOS, cash, and bank transfers. Payment can be made on the day unless otherwise arranged.

🍽 Food, Facilities & Accessibility

Q12. Is food provided on tours?
Some of our tours include morning or afternoon tea, provided by accredited local caterers, but not all tours include food. If you wish, you can add food as an extra when booking. Please let us know about any dietary needs at that time.

Q13. Do you have toilets or baby changing facilities?
Yes, we have clean toilet facilities available for guests. However, we currently do not have baby changing facilities.

Q14. Is the farm pram and wheelchair accessible?
Parts of the farm have uneven ground, and while we have toilet facilities, we currently do not have wheelchair access facilities. We’re working on improving access for prams and mobility aids.

🧼 Safety & Hygiene

Q15. Is it safe for young children?
Yes — your safety is our top priority. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. We provide clear instructions and have safety measures in place throughout the tour.

Q16. Will we come into contact with animals?
Yes, and we encourage it! You’ll have the chance to pat, feed, and interact with friendly animals under supervision. Handwashing stations are available and hygiene is emphasized before and after animal contact.

Q17. What happens if it rains or the weather isn’t good?
We generally cancel tours if the weather is wet or not suitable, as most of the tour is run outside. We want to ensure the best possible experience for all our visitors. If your tour is cancelled due to weather, we will contact you to reschedule or arrange a refund.

Q18. Do you run school excursions?
Yes! We offer curriculum-aligned educational experiences for all ages, including topics like sustainability, animal care, food production, and the environment.

Q19. Can you tailor the visit to suit what we’re learning at school?
Definitely. Just let us know what your students are studying and we’ll craft an experience that ties in with your learning outcomes.

At the moment, we don’t sell milk directly from the farm, but we’re happy to tell you about how our milk gets to your local store!
